Refrigerated freight

Temperature-sensitive freight depends on clear instructions and coordinated pickup and delivery. We review your details with you before discussing carriers or pricing.

Temperature requirements

Reefer freight goes wrong when temperature expectations were never written down or appointments were assumed. Share the details below so we can discuss and verify them with you. This is not a guarantee of unit performance or real-time monitoring.

  1. Temperature instructions

Share the temperature you need maintained or the range the product allows.

  2. Commodity and packaging

Describe the product, how it is packed, and handling notes that affect loading.

  3. Weight and quantity

Total weight, pallet count, or piece count help us understand trailer fit.

  4. Pre-cooling

If your customer specifies pre-cool or pulping requirements, include them for review.

Also include loading and unloading contacts, dock access, and pickup and delivery appointments in your first message when they apply.

Freight requirements

  1. Product and handling

What the freight is, how it must be handled, and customer rules that affect the load.

  2. Trailer suitability

Whether a standard reefer trailer fits the shipment and what we need to confirm with carriers.

  3. Documentation

Bills of lading notes, seal requirements, or other paperwork shippers expect on refrigerated freight.

Pickup and delivery

  1. Loading instructions

Dock access, who is on site, and anything that could delay loading if it was not shared early.

  2. Appointment requirements

Receiving windows, strict delivery times, and detention sensitivity stated in your inquiry.

  3. Delivery timing

Requested delivery date, appointment needs, and constraints at the receiver.

Rates, timing, and coverage are agreed with you before a truck is dispatched. Nothing is implied until then.

What to include on a refrigerated quote
